Nice waves..30 min paddle there ..then wind changed to NE..head wind on the way home..hellish 50min of paddling, prone paddling..but still worth it..and mean work out too .be
Nice one! The fact that you can just plant your feet on the minion and then surf looks fun. Is that a paddle in from Waimarama? (I'm just learning my NZ surf spots). Looks like a solid paddle, especially into a head wind!
I'd love to surf there but reckon I wouldn't take my 7'4 Minion on the paddle to get there as I'd be wrecked before I got to the line up! More of a 8'11 Sunova kinda mission for me...at least for the first time ;-)
Yea..its a big paddle on my 7'8 Minion stevo..I've surfed all 3 breaks on my other boards.. The paddle was easier but just love how the Minion makes those sections.. Pretty critical around there..you don't want to fall off on the inside and get smashed..the Speed looks good..ID like that it JC Deep in my quiver Chur bro
nice spot.all 3 breaks usually fire.... Good diving too when thecsea is flat and clean..
