Well the excitement of short sub-sups with 7 litres in volume paddling under water to the point of exhaustion has waned and I'm bucking (yes that's supposed to be a "b") the trend and going back to my longboarding roots of the bigger performance sup.....the new weapon has arrived- a starby 9'8"x29, gripped up, set of shapers fins & a balin ( it'll rip your leg off before it breaks) leash.....long live the big boys revolution!!!

I'm luvin this board, took it out at the alley this morn in small 1-2 ft wind blown surf. It s got great glide, so easy to paddle even catching this small ripple stuff, fast down the line , turns beautifully and comes off the lip great with enough nose lift to handle a steep return, reminds me of my McTavish Razar longboard. Can't wait for some serious size stuff to really stretch the legs on this bad boy.

I only grip places I'm gunna stand, the startouch deck takes care of the rest, it seems silly to me buying a carbon board for the reduced weight and then weighing it down with excessive grip plus I only use xtrak brand grip as its thin to keep the best feel/ sensitivity btw foot and deck, non-water absorbent & very grippy. The overall weight is great, easy to carry and throw around in the surf, at only 141 litres it even feels lighter than my SB 8'10". I think it will be my favourite in all surf for awhile.......well till the 2014 range comes out which might change my mind hehe
