The Aussies blitzed the mens prone paddleboard:
1st Jamie Mitchell
2nd Brad ? (from Sydney)
3rd Jackson English

In the SUP, Aussie overall place getters were
Woogie Marsh 3rd mens 14ft (behind Jeremy Riggs and Aaron Napoleon)
Alison Fullagar 3rd womens 14ft (behind Sonni Honschied and Karen Wrenn)

Kelly Margetts just missed out on a place in the blue ribbon mens unlimited class getting 4th overall, and i think Andy Davies and Paul Jones both placed in the top 11 overall too.

They also award places for each age group within the classes and a few more guys placed in these, will post full results when they're put online.

Kelly 4th open unlimited...... Unreal! That would have shocked the top guys a little. The guy doesn't even have a sponsor 5th @ BOP Hawaii also remember. I'm a fan anyway!

P.S Imagine if he spent some time getting to know the run.

Thanks everyone for the congrats - I'm super stoked with my result but more stoked to have knocked 11 minutes off my time on the same course since the first race here 3 weeks ago (in similar conditions). 500km of paddling in the the last 3 weeks is definitely paying off and I can't wait until Molokai next week!

Yep we were both riding rudderless f14's. Today was my first go on the board without a rudder and it surfed a treat - definitely the best downwind 14 footer i've ever ridden.

Great work Ali.

I cannot believe this is Kelly's 4th ever Maliko run and he gets 6th overall and 4th in his division against the worlds best. So stoked for him. These guys live this run so to do that well is phenomenal.

Yeah super stoked, was a fun run, paddled a hand shape f17 I rented from 'Aloha SUP Connection' here on Maui, the Manta is still at the north shore waiting for it's turn next week crossing the Molokai channel.
As for sponsorship CMC, I'm lucky enough to be sponsored by the best training program in the world, 25years of Mick Dibetta knowledge and experience is priceless

Yeah, Kelly's result is fantastic!!! Would love to see how he would go if he had time to get some more Maliko runs under his belt before the race. Maliko is definitely one of those runs where knowing the course can pay off big time and most of the top men's placegetter's have this as the everyday training ground!

Kelly was riding a custom 17ft SIC board which he hired here and is super stoked with!

There's plenty of good paddlers in Australia, especially Currumbin creek. I'm lucky enough to get my boards from Lahui Kai and have a full travel expenses sponsor, it's called my credit card but you only live once and to be able to race with all the local legends here and see all the Aussies crew just so stoked to be here and doing so well it's all worth it to me, that's the true heart and essence of the sport and the aloha spirit

Great job Barb and Jeremy!!

Look at Connors time on the 12'6 1:13:33 !!! Fifth overall and seconds outside the top 3 unlimited guys on a 12'6 production board. Not taking anything away from them but those guys live eat and breathe that run. Makes Kelly, Alison and Woogies results all the more impressive.

Great result by Kelly but also stoked to Andy D 5 mins closer to the front runners than in the 1st leg of the Watermans race.

Great improvement there by someone south of the border.
