Hi all,
Just looking to see who out there is loving there hipster twins and what you think of them? pros/cons etc..
They seem like they are fairly wide for the length of them, thinking they will be super stable still with that bit of extra width.
I am currently riding the 10 footer and the 9'2 hipster longboards and I am looking at getting the 8'3 x 31 120l model for the bigger steeper days ( plus probabaly every other day in between on the lower tides) . I love the longboard versions they are super fun and I have taken them out in some awesome swell.
I own a custom 8'4" which is nearly identical to the stock 8'3.
As I asked Scotty a tad longer, a tad narrower, and a tad thinner.
We had a stretch of incredible tropical waves and starting riding the 8'4" all the time.
Super stable as the wider nose template is immune to cross chop and such.
It accelerates so hard off the bottom and has no issues with larger waves up to DOH as the bottom contours have enough rocker for steeper waves.
Anything bigger I am a 71 year old observer. Although the local lads gave me Left of the Day chant on a rogue bomb.
But that was on the Short Mac.
