Some things to try:
- add more grip in the front fins to have more squirt in turns but pushing against them, but reduce the rear fin(s) to add some release. Typically a twin-fin + trailer setup.
- C-Drive fins are a great way to add acceleration in turns. if they feel too stiff on a 9'1", just replace the center one with a standard fin
- have a more efficient profile: I find fins with the max thickness close to the leading edge are harder to stall, but somewhat slower and a bit dull. I love the ones with the max thickness at 1/3 of the length, such as the Al Merrick, Matt Biolos, ...
- some people prefer fins with a lot of surface in the head to have leverage in turns, but I prefer thin tips that have less drag at speed. Experiment to see what you like best.
- Try a twin-fin setup. On a 9'1" you may not need a trailer, and the speed gain should be quite noticeable...

I had am2s on my list of fins to look into. The c drives seem rare as hens teeth?

I'll have try it as a twin fin never considered that at all.

So it sounds like I need about 50 fins and experiment ??

What size C drives are they? They look like very interesting fins. I see them get thrown up alot... but hard to get hold of.

Really nice.
Outgoing tide, 3 to 4 ft wally beach break, a great combination of turn and hold. Really smooth.
Not quite as much drive off the bottom, or spray off the top as the C Drives, but will be my go to combo for the bigger days.
The more I surf this board, the more I love it.....

Also got my PCC7 today ..not that much smaller to the sunova 94.fin s mainly the following end part. But thePCC 's do have more thickness in the front of the cutting edge ,slimming to a thin rear ...which will make them pivot well ..the PC 7 's are thinner .but are slightly bent in at the top of the fin .they climb waves like a chimp up a tree .
the creatures are very stiff and thin ,making them a very fast fin .great for racing sections .as a quad set .great drive.
stoked with my collection now ..

Colour colour colour .... most of fin collection's at the moment have a drab corporate bland ,,,,,,,,,,, happening. Water people are fun colourful spirit's n fins are part of that expression ??

If anyone is interest in the C drives I am thinking of putting them on gumtree.

I love the pcc7s too much they are perfect for me.... plus I bought another board and just looking to justify the purchase.
