Has anyone tried the Sunny King Elite Racer? I was surprised at the price (around $1200)
and was looking at one as a cheap entry level race board as there is not much on the 2nd hand market.

Cheap price = Cheap board.

An elite race board that goes for the bottom end for a regular beginners SUP....mate I would keep my distance.
Any reputable SUP dealer would not carry a race board for that price as it represents too many short cuts in design and construction at that price.

Stick with a proven brand and look at the 2nd hand boards, dont go for a Mickey mouse ebay trader when you run a very high chance of doing your $$.....

Haven't paddled the Sunny King Elite Racer but I certainly wouldn't call Nick King a mickey mouse ebay trader. He is a loyal supporter of SUP events in Melbourne and he is in it for the long haul.
