I'll be testing out the new von piros fins this week from all reports they're the bomb. You'll find heaps about them on this site.

how do you find your quiver?
Ive got a 9'3 prowave too which I love but am looking to add a smaller board to my quiver. Is the 8'9 enough of a difference to the 9'3, and do you ever feel the need to go still smaller. I'm the same weight as you.

I had Shapers 7's on the front and 5's on the rear and a small nub as a a centre fin. Worked really well

Hi,

I have a 9'2 allwave from 2013 with 160 lt and was looking for a board with around 130 lt, on a testing day i tested some boards and also the 8'9" and i liked it very much...a couple of months later i bothed that demo board for a nice price. When i was looking for my girl to have here own board i saw the 9'3" for a nice price new and took it. I didnt like the 160lt any more, so used the 8'9" as many as possible, but in Holland you dont have that many clean windless day's....now my girl can use that allwave and i have a board with more volume for the more grappy days. Probably i can go smaller but not in Holland for now. Maybe the next step. I did not try the 9'3" in the wave's i just have it a couple of day's. I tested the 9'3 in HRS from a friend and i liked it.

Cause I'm an old fart and it made it a bit easier to track straight when paddling onto the wave. It also felt just right.

I had a 8'5 Pro Wave and got some Shapers Carbon Stealth Quad-E and tried out a Darc Drive nubster so it was a quad + nubster set up. The board felt faster and 'sharper' to ride and turn. It was worth the investment as the stock Fanatic fins are not high quality and stiff compared to a performance surfing fin.

I had the 9'2" Prowave for a while and used the FireWire set. Very good!

I just tried the MFC Kai Lenny Quad Set, it really worked good.
In germany you get it from freestyleworld.de.
