Epic run Jacko , 2nd time for me and got a couple nice long runs .Still tough in epic conditions but I'm slowly getting there. You guys were flying and are you on the IWA ?

Yes mate both runs yesterday were on the IWA the 2nd run which this was filmed from was way more South and no where near as windy.

It would help i think if you take a paddle that has a handle as well!!

The crash is the best bit. Playing it in slow motion it looks like I can see the foil out of the water just before you crash. Once under water you look like a super guy body-foiling along, as the foil keeps on cruising past you.

Not down winded before. How did u start (actually gliding)? Just paddled out from shore then got onto a run? Or had support?

Also curious; where was that leash attached to? Much different to a normal straight or coil leash to ankle?

Thanks in advance for entertaining my curiosity.

We just car pool down the coast and paddle out & start from there chasing the bumps to get up (no assist from boat or ski) We are pretty lucky here as the coastline doglegs so the paddle out is short , just past the back break in the surf . Jacko had a waist leash on but he was standing on the leggie in the video , most of us just wear a coiled ankle leash or short std leggie but the waist works well.

Hey Mate the leash as was said is just a coil leash that i attach to my drink bottle holder, it works well expect when i do stand on it but thats not really a problem. I am making something stronger for around my waist as i think when its super windy the clip on my waist belt could break and foils can go along way out in the ocean if the wind is strong!!

Yeah we just paddle out into the wind line and then a few pumps and we are off. The more you do it the easy it gets but yes at the start it can be a little frustrating but well worth it once you start getting it.
