I have seen people asking on here for these quite a few times so here is a link to both 8 and 6mm in Stainless and at half price at the moment.

Just one size for now which is 2.8cm in Lenght which is pretty standard for most foil set ups.

Just to be clear - is that total length or thread length?
Just need to know as plate thickness varies .
Thanks

I just went to order and delivery is $10 So now rethinking the deal.
But it states 316 SS for all bits.
I'll try to get some friends on board for a bigger lot buy to save on postage .

don't ever buy or use copper nut because most copper nut mixing with salt long term don't go well especially on higher tension areas such as the foil nut (what were they thinking??).
My copper nuts came with my foil set is a spare or use as an emergency just encase.

Yeah sorry about the $10 postage fee but have you ever tried to post anything for under this in Aus!! You have it right though if you buy more you only pay the one $10 postage so it works out better to buy some for spares or if you live close to the goldy someone can always pick them up.

Of if you buy them at full price we can include the postage

Buy the way first lot just sold out but i have more arriving on Monday so will be sending more out from then.

Cheers Jacko

The T nuts are not copper. It's brass, and many are nickel plated brass, fooling many into thinking they have stainless. Windsurfers have been using brass with stainless studs for 30 years. Don't get your panties in a bunch over brass.

yeah right its brass, got my eyes and brain cross up.
from what I've seen (crack and split nut), I don't think I'll use brass on high tension area.
steel nut is my trusted metal.

I've been using brass t-nuts for 6 or 7 years kite foil and now sup/surf foil -- no problems.

To avoid losing nuts, jam some butyl tape into the mast track, so they can't slide out, then just leave them in the board always. And if you have them out, try to always attach them to the bolt immediately [I know, maybe not likely while in foil brain scramble mode ;-) ]

This what happen to my brass nut in less than 2 months old. I see a good use of brass at other application but not on my foil plate box.

With 3K worth of foil bolted to the bottom of my board, I am happy to pay a hundred for the bolts that secure it.

By the looks of your nuts, they weren't washed/cleaned frequently. If you go months without washing you're nuts you are going to have issues.

my nuts is fine
don't judge the nut by the pic, it gets wash regularly.
I now have steel nuts and comfortable leaving them attached to the board for days without issue.
Brass nut is fine on single surf fin box but foil box, not for me, because there's a bit more tension there. I'm not about to risk using brass nuts with my thousand$ foil on a cheap weak brass nuts. This is just my opinion and if somebody uses brass nuts I'm fine with that
