I have one but I will probably never use it. Usual method is to lower the end of the boom and rig the sheets to blocks either side of the cockpit rear. Sheet on the leeward one. Dedicated cruisers use a separate track on the mast alongside the mainsail track.

As usual Youtube will be your friend.

I have only put mine up once to see how it fitted. I would secure my boom to the windward side of the boat out of the way and then use the main sheet on the trysail.

and strangely , they sound like they are having fun still . I would must rather be here thinking about it !!

That's my plan. I carry a number 5 headsail and the main has 3 reefs, I have the storm sails but they will remain as new. Probably only used for the Hobart race sail past displaying storm gear rigged.
I generally sail at least once a week, lately a bit more often with that brilliant winter weather we had but I'm turning into a fair weather sailer!
