The challenge has come to replace my failing seacocks with polypropylene reinforced plastic seacocks, will do the 4 skin fittings with the carbon Composite fitting on next haul out. Now where's the wooden 2 inch bung!

Are your current ones that bad Southace that you can't wait to do it out of the water? I had a couple that I thought where pretty bad to the point I was going to haul out early or attempt what you're about to do. But after I gave them a bit of a touch up with a small wire brush I realized they weren't as bad as I first thought.

Take care not to split the female thread when screwing in. Easily done.

Hansen, all fitted now.
The skin fitting it self is fine bedded in epoxy, the seacock I fitted 3 years ago was completely shot!
Electrolysis Is a strange creature!
Rivieara and Maritimo boat builders Earth every stainless seacock onboard. You Don't see that on many yachts. Not hard to attach a hose clamp and earth wire, Not that I should have a problem now.

It's what is on the inside that counts. I could tell that there was a problem just by the easiness of turning the handle. Same with the original one when I brought the boat could operate the handle with ease but nothing was happening internally. I can't see a problem now with a polypropylene ball and a glass reinforced nylon housing, no metal parts I believe.
