Hi Guys I am new in this game

have a Roberts 32' with a mast slightly bent at the top Can that be repair?
I am from Gladstone Central Qld
if so any advise on a repairer

Chris,

From the photo, to me it looks like the rigging tension just needs adjusting. Looks like the starboard upper shroud needs to be tightened a few turns. But it's really hard to know from that photo! Normally I would check for bends by laying at the bottom of the mast and looking up the aft face, sighting along the mainsail slot and wanting to see a nice straight line. Like cisco says, best bet though is to get a rigger to look at it. Shouldn't cost much, especially compared to the cost of having to replace the mast.

If the mast is genuinely bent, DO NOT attempt to sort it out yourself! You will need specialist work in that case.

to me it looks like i has gone sideways under compression, i doubt it is the cap shrouds being uneven. to check, back your lower shrouds off a few turns and see if it straightens out. i suspect it wont as the bend appears to be in an area well above the spreaders and is unlekely to be effected by lower tension
