the double sheet set up looks like a great idea !!!!!! .......... a bit more mucking about to trim the sail , but that's sailing the boat !...
there are some clever people around !!
it looks a bit fragile around cabin-top connection .... they look like screws , bolts would fix that .
Yes it would be after going about but even with a sail track you still have to trim it was well and with a dodger in place you have to start running sail track ropes through the dodger.
What I like about it is its a jibe preventer as well in a way
My main concern is the ratio for main sheet blocks

they use 5 mm bolts

This is what I had in mind and braced inside the cabin I was thi9nking of fitting them on the out side of the hatch cover roughly where the existing sail track fits
slightly forward so it would clear a spray dodger
To me its much the sme idea as the admiral cups main sheet
only with out the winches and no sail track
Im not abosolty sure but I think the above main is 106 sq foot ( roughly 10 sq meters) Mine main is 16 sq meters
Below quote off the link
While beating in heavy winds you can trim the boom to windward, ease the main sheet to put twist in the main sail so that the top is eased downwind and spills some of that overpowering wind. While beating in really heavy winds you can depower the entire sails by trimming the boom leeward keeping a consistent flat mainsail, with a little luff in the entire leading edge. Off the wind you can use the leeward sheet only to get a more directly downward pull on the boom, and a flatter more powerful mainsail shape.
The disadvantages are: This system might require a little more tweaking after tacking to get the boom right where you want it. But you have that same issue with a traveler to adjust it after a tack (unless you had the traveler car at centerline already, in which case you really were getting no benefit from having a traveler). It will take more care before jibing to make sure you have slacked the appropriate sheet sufficiently to allow the main sail to change sides. Again you have that same issue with a traveler, to re-adjust the traveler car to where you want it. Concentrating the attachment at one point could result in a very high amount of sheer forces concentrated at one point on the boom.
