Well it is sailing but was dropped from the Olympics when the committee had a rush of common sense! Someone raised the question of the dangers of buoy roundings with all the cordage flying about.

I do regret not being young enough to try it though.

As someone who races kites and sailing boats.. The mark rounding are nothing.. The start line is where the tangles ad crashes occur..

It's never too late. I just started kitesurfing 3 years ago, after windsurfing for over 30 years. If you're reasonably fit, can fly a kite, and don't mind getting wet, then you can kitesurf.

Jacques Pourbaix didn't start until he was 70 and he still going ten years later.
