One might search the universe for ages for a better method to make coffee than the Turkish way. K.I.S.S.
Price, speed, ease, taste, aroma all considered.

I've tryed several of the methods suggested in the last lot of posts and come to the conclusion that any coffee tastes good when you add enough vodka

Since being away from my yacht for 2 .5 months I have found myself a nice glass plunger that's been fool proof. I find for $10 the 2x250g packs lasts me two weeks and I get about 3 full strength coffee mugs in the morning. I mostly use a pod machine on the yacht which requires the generator to run and costs around $15 per fortnight for 24 pods. Much more convenient to boil a jug and press it now I'm thinking!

I think a plunger makes as good a coffee as anything else unless you have to have a milk frother for cappuccino.

After pouring the coffee and rinsing the plunger, I sometimes froth milk with the plunger.

You really do not need a plunger either. If you put the coffee grounds in a mug, pour boiling water in it, stir and let the grounds settle, it is the same thing. Just don't drink the last bit.

Lavazza Qualita Oro is my favourite followed by Lavazza Crema Gusto.

Lavazza is the first coffee maker to design a pod coffee unit to use in space and send it there. They did it for the Italian lady who went to the International Space Station.

+1 for Lavazza d'oro Cisco, -1 for our chances of tasting Lavazza space pod... may need to wait for Elon Musk to commercialise something similar.

Bought a plunger for this trip but its not as nice as the ss stove top so this is what gets used everyday.
Those machines that require little plastic pods should be banned for the fact that each coffee produces non bio degradable waste that lasts forever. Totally unnecessary. I urge people to not support this waste. Do you wanna see plastic pods in the ocean?
