Hi Andy

They are Doyle Stratic Ice and seem to work pretty well

Hi Sam

We are lucky down here because we have a race starter who is also a keen photographer and she takes some great shots from the starters box

Here is another nice one from a couple of weeks ago showing my boat in 3rd place

Once a year we have a race where people like me who crew on other boats for the race series take our own boats out for a run around the buoys

Regards Don

I think I said it before, but the Hobart area seems to have just about the best racing scene in the world, on a boats-per-person basis. Lots of affordable boats in a beautiful place.... well done to all involved.

Hi Chris

It is certainly as nice place to sail as long as you don't mind cooler weather and frequently changing conditions

When we went out for a twilight race last Thursday there was fresh snow on the mountains

When my sister visits from Cairns she says the weather here changes every 8 mins

Hi Cisco

A few weeks ago we had a rough trip up the river when it was blowing a constant 30 knots plus down the river and the tide was running in creating some swell and chop but most of the time it is a comfortable place to sail

Nice looking boat. Do you ever get thrown across the cockpit? Seems a long way to fall. I think I would miss the backrests of my cockpit.

Hi Ramona

The boat i crew on is the Jenneau 33 in the first picture so we are pretty comfortable

The little Elliott 7.8 that you are probably referring to is my mates and is pretty quick but a bit limited as far as conditions go

In light breezes it doesn't take much to get it moving but it needs a fair few crew on the rail in strong winds and waves tend to stop it, but downwind in a nice breeze and flat water it flies and keeps up with the fast 40 footers in the fleet

When i have sailed on it it feels fairly secure in the cockpit as long as you can keep your feet on the footholds on the cockpit floor but in reality it is a big dinghy
