Yacht looks great Vic. Is that a new frame?
Have you done away with front suspension altogether and gone back to cable steering?

No it is an old pic, The rod steering and suspension are still on the yacht, both work well. front is now air shock, works better than the spring one.

Got any close ups of that swing arm suspension. And does it affect the rod steering?

Clem, fairly old pic of when I first thought of giving it a try, The back pivot point is off a mountain bike. The front shock is now air at 250psi. At the front of the mast post I have two plates welded to stop sideways movement. It has no effect on the rod steering. The best effect it eliminates sail shake and absorbs the bumps on a rough surface. Very happy with it. I have used it for five seasons now with no problems(except for the spring shock that failed after two seasons.)

Looks great Vic. Still can't see how you stopped it swaying sideways.
Was thinking if trying that on my next yacht build. A yacht size that would be easy to carry over as luggage to sail with you guys.
Was thinking of 20" BMX sizs wheels and a 2m? foot print. Soft sails only.

Easter Regatta turns out to be a blast after half an inch of rain the previous day. Surface dried out magnificently and light to moderate southish breezes made for interesting sailing.
