hey got in laws coming over from ireland and we looking to getaway to whitsundays area... im thinking either stay on mainland ie. Airlie beach & do day trips to the different islands hamilton/whitehaven etc.

or is it worth paying a bit more and actually staying on islands?

We traveling in march - heard about the jelly fish /stinger/crocs - i thought it was a load of bs, but wifey being irish is taking it pretty seriously. So is it something to worry about??

reading the forums i don't think it's worth taking the kites. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
