I never liked that movie actually. I was at the same age as the actors too, so it was targetted at the teenage to low 20's market, and I didn't get it. I found the lines stupid, the spoilt nature of Ferris arrogant, and really the movie made me cringe at what "rich teens" get up to - which is crap really.
You were too old. It only works for young teens/tweens, that was always the target market.
