I am really keen to try some wake bindings on my 2011 cardboard tempo, what are the plus and minus points? I am an intermediate rider.

If you have the boots, hell yeah.. Give them a go, nothing to loose! They make landing much softer, if u land... But when u stuff up, it makes it alot more painful, cos you cant kick the board off... But its lots of fun!

This is a good question. I am drawn to boots as it seems a safer option - but I am eager to hear opinions.

I munted my knee 3 months ago coming off double back roll when one foot came out. I have had two friends who have fractured (multiple) their legs under same circumstance i.e. one foot in one foot out. And there are a host of similar stories around. Hey! being off the water for months is not an option, not to mention the dint in confidence these injuries bring to progression.

To me, crashing with both feet in would reduce the risk of rotational injuries. But what say the boot boys; what sort of injuries have you coped when booted up?

Hi Pablofet,

Definately give the boots a go. I changed from straps to boots a few years ago and i found i progressed really quickly with them. I find them much better when the wind is really strong aswell. Give it a crack
