Moving to the Sunshine Coast this March.

I'm looking forward to plenty of kiting at Cotton Tree and downwinders to Casterways.

Whats the go with named lake inland from Palmwoods? (I don't want the name coming up in search results)

Good/Bad/Ugly?

All I know is that sailing is allowed and there are plenty of eels.

at least you wont have beaches full of sea weed to deal with I suppose

Winter kiting is the best anyway....

More swell and stronger winds.

If it's the B one then it's up on the range and would be very gusty with high hills all round. The EM one to the south is more open country but I've never heard of anyone kiting it. It's about 20 mins to cotton tree I'd say from Palmwoods, that would be the go.

Time to shop for a big kite and get excited about 15 knots. It's an awesome place though, enjoy and see you at the beach.

The lakes are usually Bad/Ugly, the Good is on the Coast - you may get a good sesh on one of the lakes now & then but it's hit & miss.

Anyone got a "big" kite they want to sell me?

13m fuel or something bigger for freestyle in 15knots.
