We have lived on the coast for 30 years and have surfed and now kite surfed all up and down the coast. We now reside near Narrow Neck which makes it ideal for us to enjoy the best that the location has to offer in the way of surfing every day and attempting to kite surf. When i say attempt i mean that there are a bunch of guys down there that think that they own the beach. They have approached us several times telling us that we have to read the rules of the beach and insist on blabbing that to us every time we go there. We know the rules of water sports as we have been involved in it our whole lives. They have erected a sign that states among other things that you have to have seqka registration to kite surf there and list once again a whole lot of babble on this sign that is illegally erected on a council sign. Firstly i need to know where we stand as far as removing the sign firstly and secondly there is no law stating that this is their beach. Can anyone give me ideas on how to shut these idiots up and enjoy the sport that has brought us all so much joy. Thanks in advance for your input and response's.

Those guys are just trying to stop the council banning kiting at the neck because of people doing silly things, dropping kites, going through the flags ect. If you know the rules you wouldn't have been told off!

narrowneck has flags (swimming areas) upwind and downwind.

when kiters stuff up and ride or crash into the swimmers the council lifeguard come and tell the "pensioners" as mantis put it so nicely! to tidy their mates act up or official complaints will be forwarded to council regarding removal of kiters from the area.

If knobs crash their kites into beachgoers or kite in the flags then they are retards.

I'm taking it that annoyed isn't one of these people though?
