News travels fast. I didnt see it , but a old fella was telling me that his kite took off into the trees and he was knocked unconcious when he hit the concrete steps/wall. There was no blood. The ambos rigged him up in a neck brace and carted him off. I kited at Redcliffe today and the wind was fairly light all day. Must have been a freak gust of wind, or a bit of user error prehaps. Hope he mends well.

That does seem strange - it didn't pick up over 17 knots all day... Even the Redcliffe anemometer which usually over reads by 2-3 knots says we only had one gust of 18 knots...
Will do some asking around at work tomorrow and find out who it was...

I though i saw someone rigging up on a beach just south of queens beach. I thought maybe they were new to the area as there are so many rocks at that point. There are apartment buildings really close to the water which really wont help either, hope he makes a full recovery.
