This same question has been asked many times on here and can be researched on previous posts but out of courtesy your best guide is to check Seabreeze's forecast a day or two prior to coming and book extra luggage if things looking promising. We are starting to come into our good wind season here on the Goldy but consistency of wind for any location is not a given. There are some blips on the Radar for the days your suggesting but that's all they are at the moment as towards the end of the week at this point in time is a long way out in forecast terms. If your 98kegs and a beginner as you say, then you would be best off to hit the only flatwater spot with a reasonable length beach in the Broadwater known as Shearwater Esplanade at Runaway Bay. There is another flatwater location known as Kfc's at Len Fox Park, Labrador but there is not a lot of beachfront area for launch or landing. If your a beginner you should not be out in nuking wind conditions so you would be advised to leave your 8m kite at home. Your 12m would be a must have as the general range of winds here are 15 to 25kts when they are on and if its forecast for light winds you might throw you 15.5m in. As for boards its probably convenient to travel with just you TT. If a beginner you would be well advised to avoid Kiting off the beachfronts as there are many flag zones in close proximity and beach goers to avoid. So not a good idea unless you have a fair bit of experience of good kite control, ability to cut out through the break and maintain up wind to avoid flag areas. You will find most the Goldy crew are friendly and welcoming.
