Hi - Just coming up to QLD for a week or so. Can you guys fill me in on which is the closest beach to Amberly, and which winds are most common / direction and speed?

You have some options
Wellington Point, Sandgate, Shearwater (Runaway bay) all flat water
or Narrowneck (surf) all about an hours drive from Ipswich
