The main bridles of my 11m 2014 F-One Bandit worn out and were about to break, so I replaced them by a 3mm dyneema rope.

I found out that the original pulleys were not working properly as the centre of the sheaves enlarged and doing so were scuffing the line, so I bought brand new pulleys from F-One.

Well, 6 months later it happened again. The pulleys are fine, but they keep scuffing the bridles.

Now I replaced the pulleys again, 4mm dyneema ropes and I am using those sheaveless block from Ronstan. So far so good.

It's interesting that I had other Bandits before, and that's the first time it happened to me. It's true that I'm looping the kite much more now, but I still think it shouldn't happen.

Just wondering if this problem happened to someone else...

Kites and there bridles do not last for ever, upgrade my kites every two years, next to go will be valves more than likely.

Pullies wear bridles. You are obviously using your kites a lot. Replace them every 4 months if they brake every 6 months.

Different pullies can improve life as can thicker bridles.

Also cleaning sand off also helps.replace pullies before they get too sloppy.

Riding a c4 from 2010/11, no issues with Kite/ bridal or valves, used a lot

Replacing bridles every 6 months doesn't look right to me.
Pulleys shouldn't wear ropes this way, that's why they are designed for.
Since my last bridle update I already have some wear on the rope, so went back to the pulleys. Let's see how it goes.

They are very high quality with needle roller bearings, and I'd recommend using the larger 4mm line if you can.
