This is the second time this wanton mistress of a board has run away from me!

Check out the brown arrows that took her away! That spike at 1:15 pm (1/10/2013) Kurnell was the one that got me .
At 138 x 43 her planing area was a little big for the conditions. I was easily planing on just my toenails with the board unceremoniously abandoned several hundred metres behind (just offshore from the Bonna Point boat ramp).
The wind was pretty much a straight westerly at the time so she could have made a beeline toward New Zealand. I couldn't find her anywhere along the shore from Bonna Point to Captain Cook Park.
However it was an incoming tide and the last time I lost her off Sandringham she had chugged along with the incoming tide despite the 25 knot Sou-Wester blowing against her. If that is the case she could be now caressing the shores of Towra or skulking around the oyster leases of Quibray Bay. I wouldn't be surprised if she made it all the way to Sandringham again.
