No worries Tim, last we saw it was heading out to sea and about 2km off Swanbourne/City beach, Dan from Swan SLC was in contact with both water police who were aware of the kite and worried about your whereabouts and CBSLSC. I spoke to them and explained that you were safe on the beach. Pity we could not grab kite, hopefully it turns up. Regards Dennis

Just a bit of advice with the ids (2009) and the idsx (2010) bar safety system the pin/landing line loop is designed to fail under a certain pressure to comply with euro satety standards (i believe).
All the other Cabrinha riders attach their safety to the ring on the landing line, rather than the metal part of the chicken loop. Then if you pop your QR1 (red push away below the bar) you do not to loose the kite if its under stress even if the pin/velcro gives under pressure.
And if you need to you loose the whole rig you can still ditch the safety on your leash.
