With the season hopefully ramping up, just a little reminder to everyone wanting to kiting here to keep it safe and friendly. Last season we had way too much carnage and are probably a bit lucky we are still allowed to kite inside the rivermouth. A note to beginners. This place looks safe, but in an outgoing tide when there is a bit of swell, if you drop your kite and can't get it up quickly you can get sucked out into the surf impact zone where the waves will be pushing you in and the tide pushing you out and then pray that someone rescues you. Each rescue of a person, board or kite costs a carton of beer, 2 cartons if you get rescued by the lifeguards.

haha. that was awesome. some decent riders up there. looks like a sick spot. I'd be the gumby never unhooking and getting my board sucked out to sea so will stay away til i can handle pass like those guys. nice vid

Got to agree with the first post, stay safe guys and girls,have respect, kite well away from swimmers and beach goers and surfers, if an accident occurs we will all suffer, also get insured!!
