The market is saturated with kites and boards for sale.

However this doesn't seem to be the case for foils. Even on seabreeze classifieds there aren't that many.

Are people keeping their foils longer than kites?
Do they have a better resale value with the explosion of foiling?

We have plenty in the shop but most are new ha! One thing you really need to consider when buying a used foil is does it fly properly? Foils from all brands can have hidden issues in their bridles and it can be expensive and time consuming to fix (like fitting a new bridle).
Fly before you buy is our advice (or buy from a reputable source).

There are 8 pages of foils & boards for sale in the Kitesurfing classifieds:
www.seabreeze.com.au/Classifieds/Search/Kitesurfing/Foil-and-Race-boards?search=p%2FeVEIELGOY38OJR4wnDzg%3D%3D

..as well as Windsurfing Foils for sale
www.seabreeze.com.au/Classifieds/Search/Windsurfing/Foils-and-Foil-boards?search=fuwpz2%2Bn4D2emJsnMbY%2BIw%3D%3D

and SUP foils for sale
www.seabreeze.com.au/Classifieds/Search/Stand-Up-Paddle/Foils-and-Foil-boards?search=fuwpz2%2Bn4D25FFvFrD6WUQ%3D%3D

(Looking at combining these categories)

How many do you need?

.. not only do they turn over really quick, but I regularly hear how legit Seabreeze buyers/sellers are compared to the tire kickers/low ballers on the social sites.

Thanks - I already have 2 foils set (including the Slingshot school masts set) which I'm actually looking to sell and upgrade.
It's the lack of used foils on the market that's stopping me from selling them :-)

My first foil was one of those and compared to a modern foil I think it's bad. Personal opinion.

Some are like me Just collector's.
I have a set of 3 wings and 3 mast lengths of Naish all which are fantastic.
I wish to have some good back up gear and there it.
Bit the same as my 5 foil boards all do the job very well.
But now saying this maybe I've got too much gear.

I use the axis S series. 680 for kiting and the 900 higher aspect puppy for supping and proning although I can't Sup for sh1t so let's just say proning for now. That combo is working well for me.

Ps 75mm mast

just change wing. Sometimes I don't even do that when proning and take the 680 out for some loosey loose action.

But I know little about other gear so don't take my word for it. It just works and literally can't fault it.

eppo not sure what is ignorant about waiting and paying 20% of a $1.5k foil setup

foiling imo is for old farts with weak knees, I'm not (quite) there yet.

I mean it in the most constructive way possible by the way. Not as an insult. You just don't know what you just don't know.

My 11 yr old sons knees and ability would probably surpass yours already but he also can't get enough of the foiling caper either.

ps if anything hurts more after a long foil session is the knees ... you see ... just ignorance.

I've never watched at a foiler and said "I really want to learn that"

And no-one ever said to me "You should try kitesurfing"

A foil in the garage is like a wire coat hanger in a cupboard, once you have one they just seem to multiply.

The only people I see with weak knees are the young-fellas doing the freestyle. Knee braces are the coolest accessories!

If you've ever skied or snowboarded powder, then you might understand the attraction.

I want to take up foiling, but when I'm older. Darren says once you try foiling you never go back, and I'm just not done with the twintip yet

This seems to have turned into a 'why should I foilboard ' argument. My choice of tt vs foilboard is only down to windcstrength... below 20 knts foilboard, above 20knots tt. p 8 lc,p) All I can say is that since late September I've had 30+ sessions... Out of that 2 were with my brand new 9m Amp which I bought for powered up boosting/looping. The rest were on a foilboard with a 12m Hyperlink. All sessions were great fun apart from the 2 with the Amp which were underpowered

TT, SB, SB strapless then foiling, then do it all again.
Woops forgot wind winging and SUP foiling in the mix.
We are spoilt for choice .

Neither am I, but I'm done with trying to get my jollies in sub-optimal or frustrating conditions on TT or SB.
