As long as it can be light enough, the future of kites ?

I saw this the other day and it is pretty cool, if the technology could be adapted to kites effectively it could be a game changer.

Imagine a kite made 100% of this material where all of the seams aren't stitched they are molded/ joined together with the nano technology, making the kite really sleek and streamlined. Then if the kite could repair itself you could strip back all the reinforcements and have a truly featherweight kite.

A kite that repairs itself would not be in the kite companies best interest?? In parts this would be true but the company that came out with it first would have such a huge competitive edge that the benefits would far outweigh the negatives.

Imagine a kite that was crispy brand new every time you pulled it out of the bag

Problem is no more repairs for the kite shops = loss of revenue

Apparently affected by hot tempratures so may not be good for hot countries..

Be very interesting to see one made and put through its paces..
