Dont Carp, that cyclone has potential, might be some rare north swell about to fire a surfing secret spot near you.

Let's work out how we can F@ck that bitch up:

My suggestions are:
- write bad things about her on the toilet wall
- sell her into sex slavery
- give her an STD or at least a cold sore
- Put her into a reality TV show
- Get her hooked on crack

^^ and the wet season extends further south, warmer water, more cyclones all making for a humid wet cyclonic summer with weaker seabreezes for us.

La Ninas cause a warm body of water to 'slop' about near Fiji that eventually moves through Indonesia and strengthens the south-flowing Leeuwin Current that brings warm water down and cancels consistent sea breezes - just like we saw with the strongest one recorded last year. Predictions were for a decaying La Nina this summer. Ho hum ....

I thought it was more IOD affecting WA/Indo etc.

The La NINA affect on the Pacific makes sense but I can't find much info on how La NINA interacts with IOD and the Indian Ocean generally.

Got any links?

Notice the storm on tuesday??? Everything effects everything in regards to ocen currents, and in our area Perth.

It affects the leewin current, hence no seabreezes, or troughed out seabreezes. It a seabreeze is predicted and you see those wispy clouds that go right out past rotto, dont even bother setting up, drink beer with your mates instead down the beach. RPM, spot on mate last season was spectacular till Christmas, this is the worst season in 15 years so far, and I cant see any improvement.

Down South past the cape will be awesome this season, Waves for me, thank god I bought a bigger kite.

If you want to know more check wiki on leewin current, La nina, Global highs and lows and how it shifts through summer and winter due to the earths tilt.. and How a seabreeze works on how stuff works etc.

OOps an ex-science teacher in Biology and Human Biology is giving you homework, SORRY

It's well over 25 here, one dude out.. Flat water one side knee high waves the other, I'm having a rest day, watching one guy punt some respectable air and my dog dig a crater sized hole.....

feel sorry for some of the people who have come out especially for the wind/waves, with a strong dollar and a poor season ahead, its an expensive hot windless holiday

Last season about now i was hoping for the wind to stop to rest my body. No in my 11 years this is the worst by a country mile.

Come on, La Nina's not that bad. We have had an awesome dump of powder over here, followed by bluebird days...

Winge, winge. At least we had a good winter for surf, the first in some time.

All this being blamed on La Nina which I am yet to be convinced has any affect on Indian Ocean.

Unless of course La Nina affects the IOD somehow... I can't find much info on this. The point below makes some sense as to how the two might correlate.
