I thought kitesurfing was expensive, but can't imagine how much one of those drones would cost.

To Kite....firstly gen y veiwers you need a kite.
Thats NOT kiting.....
Kiting has a direct connection with natural forces..
That is called Droning.
And bring your battery charger with you...

Fake or not, that IS the future of back country skiing and boarding!!

No more helicopters taking you to the top. No hiking for frigging ever with skis on your back waist deep in powder.

Get the drone to drag you up the hill, anywhere you want then program it to follow you back down and then pick up your lift again to do it again.

You could even be attached to it with a slack line while skiing and it could rescue you if caught in an avalanche!!

Excellent novelty value, but wouldn't it just be easier (and safer) to use a kite? Plus, what's the battery life like to pull off something like this? 5 minutes per charge?

Wait..... it's the internet it must be true! You can see a massive crane in the background at one stage during the making of.

manofmany.com/entertainment/heres-casey-neistats-new-human-flying-drone-probably-fake

Need real evidence either way but it is a fun watch.

Judging by the size of that drone, it's equivalent to a 8mt kite

8m kite = $1000
Drone = $3,000+

Kite wins

Kitable wind on an 8m 20% of the time? (Maybe)

Drone usable 80% of the time due to charging...

Starts to look like a dead heat!!

But I'll stick with wind for now
