Interesting to see after gliding off he just switched the bar around and used it exactly like a parachute. I guess they're much the same sort of thing!

Maybe boring, because he takes forever to come down, but it is on a kite, and the start of the clip is awesome where you seem him getting pulled up the narrow spine of the mountain ridge.
As he jumps off, he is facing back to the kite, or forwards, so to steer the kite and not get twisted around (because of the twist in the lines) he swaps the bar around, nice skills, try it sometime, and then imagine doing it 450M up in the air!!!

I watched the Something Stronger DVD last night at home on my HD TV, absolutely awesome DVD and footage. The best Snowkiting DVD ever released so far. Heaps of unhooked, powered kite loops, mobes, slims, everything we do on the water, but done well powered on snow. Shot in HDV, from close range, often with rider and kite in frame. No long boring jumps! Just 100% action. Great soundtrack too.
I just want to go snowkiting in powder conditions!!!!!

wouldnt wanna break a line
Like u would have enough time to deploy the parrachutegame over
It looks a lot more safe on a glider ha ha

He said he had some system to pull the chute out, it was attached to the kite, sounded like tangle city wonder whether he has actually tested it??
He could just be crazy too?? :-)

It'd be like the paraglider guys throwing their reserve. I've seen god knows how much footage on the 'net of them chucking the reserve, only to have it get tangled in the main canopy, or the lines, or both. You'd think there'd *have* to be a better way to get the reserve far enough away before deployment to avoid that.

Very nice.

The landing was so well controlled. You have to absolutely trust your gear. I can understand when he say it's better to be high, so he has time to open his parachute.
