put your harness on, put kite, bar and pump in kite bag, either put board in one hand, or buckle it under the flap on your kitebag.

Yeah, they're around i'm just scared my board would fall out as its meant for a surfboard which is much wider.

Back when we were all playing Snake on Nokia 6110's, it was quiet easy to narrow the width between the bars. Not sure if the technology is still around (extra rubber, wood, foam padding, duct tape, extra occy straps etc) but it was a fairly easy problem to solve!

I've seen a guy in Perth riding a Stealth Bomber electric bike with a rack on the side for his surfboard.

Here's another way.

After I sold my car in Perth I'd regularly ride to the beach on my bike. Initially peddle power alone but that is hard work carrying board , kite and we tty into 30 knit sea breeze. I fitted an electric conversion kit from dillenger.com.au to my bike and could comfortably cruise back and forth at 40km/ hrs without breaking a sweat. I tried a trailer for a while (converted kid carrier) but that felt dangerous on busy roads and was stressful when crossing roads and train lines! Then I tried the old school rear vertical type board rack , this was good but caused the bike to wobble in the wind so I forked out the extra cash for a proper carver side rack which was awesome. My recommendation is pay for a good side rack , give it ago using peddle power and if it's too hard buy an electric conversion kit. By the way there are instructions for making a side rack for a bike on the Web from pvc pipe

I always ride to the beach. Backpack for all the kite and kit, board under the arm. It gets a bit tricky in 25kts with the surfboard! But worth it! No sand in the car and a good warmup. Kite selection before leaving home is essential though, I can't carry two choices.

In summer I usually toss the rashie in the kite bag. In the occasions I wear a wetsuit, I just tie it onto the kite bag, or if it is cold I'll ride in it. The kite bag gets loaded up with bar, harness, wetsuit, and pump all clipped/tied on the outside. I have a beater beach bike that I don't mind the salt water dripping.

Wouldn't want to leave that bike locked up on the beach in Perth whilst out on the water ! Bye bye bike
