Hi Monkeyfish. So true, as it is very deceptive. That must be about 10 km of coast were looking at in the photo. Its a 600mm lens I'm using shoot this photo.
Nice one Gordon, I love these shots... (particularly this one, as i found myself down the back after a good close look!)... It totally captures what it looks like when you are on the water, seeing all of the kites down the beach to the horizon. It definitely wasn't that crowded out there though, other than near Brighton - maybe the camera brings 'em out...
Haha I'm in the UK at the mouth of the Thames a hr away from london , on a busy long weekend over summer ive counted 170+ kites in a 2 square mile area. Nice piccy thou :)
