Join the new century and buy a Kindle, books on tap whenever, wherever.
Nothing beats the feel of a REAL book. There's no school like old school.
But if the book is good enough you really shouldn't notice.
Pros:
Can read while eating breakfast. Kindles et al don't require a hand to keep them open.
Text is sharper.
Amazon can deliver the book to me in about 2 minutes. Free.
Books are cheaper. Last one I bought
The Worst Journey In The World was actually free (marked down from $1).
Can store your entire library.
The 1,000+ page tome you are reading fits in your jacket. Easily.
You can highlight quotes and they appear in your Kindle page online. Nice way to revisit things. You can click online to continue reading.
Batteries last a month.
Cons:
Batteries last a month.
It is possible to lose your page by accidentally clicking 'next chapter' button.
Flight attendants make you turn them off for takeoff and landing (why!?)
Bit plasticy. I'd like an Apple version.
Also, people still seem to think they are a screen, with a light. They are not.
