Lived in Canada for a year, went there for the snow season then spent the spring/summer site seeing and trout fishing. Awsome place.
We didnt spend alot of time in Vancouver, but more inland snowboarding at Sliverstar,Red Mt, Big White, White Water etc.
Real red neck country folk out that way, shot gun mounted on the dash of their pick up's, pub goes quiet when you walk in type of towns along the way.Was a good experiance.
Here is a short slide show presentation of what I remember of my tip to Canada,

If you need to use the bathroom, please go now as there will be no intermission

We arrived in Vancouver with only $500 each so we bought car and a cannoe, we named the car Hope, short for "I hope she makes it"
Yaaaayyyy, the first snow for winter, Havent put the winter tyres on Hope yet.
Then we crashed the car
Then we got jobs at a ski resort
I bought a new snowboard
I crashed that too
Went ice fishing.
Didnt catch anything so one of the local hunters cooked us Moose steaks
Went to the work Xmas eve staff party and drank way too much.
Strange bunch these Canadians.
Woke up the next morning under the Xmas tree
Went to the work New years eve party, a quiet
outside spa party in
minus 28 degrees.
The ice finally melted off the lakes so we went trout fishing.
And caught some nice wild rainbow trout.
Was a good year, but getting home and going down the beach felt so good.
Have a good trip.
