For years I have seen ads that show how sun and salt water buggers up your hair and you need to wash it with shampoo that has milk, or fruit juices, or rare seed oils etc etc. They make it sound like going to the beach will do major damage to your hair.
Now I have seen it all.
A conditioning hair washing product thing on TV that contains - wait for it - sea salt. FFS.
I replied in the forum that no they're not, then I chastised you publicly for your sexism. Then showed this to the missus, scored a few favours with her for my moral fortitude. That is, just before I deleted my own reply...

almost any ads i see make methinks "are people just dumb ?" especially the ads authorized by the governments.
That's alright but don't forget men are also being sucked into the cosmetics market as well with men's moisturizers, makeup, fragrances (not deoderant) and body sculpting (Back crack and sack waxing etc).
Fortunately I recognize that I was born ugly (true) and through years of practice and dedication I have got better at it.

Have you been in one or more sexual relationships with women in your life Mark? If the answer is yes, then I would think that is sufficient evidence that the answer to your original question is also yes
