Oliver-Tom Schliemann puts his case forward for arguably the best birthday present a windsurfer could wish for?

When PWA slalom racer Oliver-Tom Schliemann (OTS) turned 18 this year, we're fairly sure he wasn't expecting to bag the present he did. Casting convention to the side, OTS celebrated the mile stone birthday by being given his very own windsurf centre.

Named OTS Elitesport, the centre is located near the famous Baltic Harbour of Damp, in the Bay of Eckernf?rde, Germany. Situated in the huge, picturesque camping area of Booknis, in the renowned windy northern corner of the bay, OTS will own and run the centre when not competing professionally.

Visitors to OTS Elitesport will find a selection of Starboard, Severne and F2 windsurf gear, in addition to NeilPryde's Olympic RS:X class equipment and the Bic Techno one-design. OTS aims to specialise in catering for young slalom, freestyle and RS:X sailors, though all windsurfers are welcomed to centre.

As the youngest PWA sailor to compete in the last 8 years, it looks like OTS might have just secured himself another first which this inspirational present!
