The legendary JP talks you through a session at the infamous Backyards

Christmas Eve of 2013 saw Jason Polakow (JP / NeilPryde) heading to one of his favorite waves in the world, Backyards, Oahu on Hawaii's North shore. Met with 8-10 foot surf and light winds the conditions were exceptionally tricky, but there was no stopping Polakow from hitting the water.

Polakow's latest movie features several of his radical, vertical, late cutbacks, which have become an iconic image in windsurfing. However, even the great man himself does find himself getting caught out by this gnarly break. Watch the movie to hear JP recall exactly what happened.
