THE CORE - An African Stand up paddle adventure

Scotty McKercher shared this great video on the stand up padding forums this week, of the Starboard SUP team getting shacked in Tahiti earlier this month. It's a great mix of lifestyle and action SUP footage, it's a shame the clip only runs for a little more than three minutes - with such beautiful scenery, great waves and plenty of the latest model SUP boards on show from Starboard Stand up paddle, it could run for much longer!

If you look closely, you'll even see Scotty himself in there catching a few beauties. Scott earned his claim to fame back in the early 2000's, when he was a windsurfing wave sailor for the Starboard/Severne team. He retired from professional windsurfing in 2008 when the sport of Stand up paddling caught his eye, and since then he's worked closely with Starboard to develop their range of surf orientated stand up paddle boards, and still takes pride in surfing every single board in the Starboard range at his home break of Margaret River, WA.

The move allowed the shop to expand into other watersports like stand-up paddling and wakeboarding, as well as beachwear and toys. Across the road from the store is Pelican park and Bells beach, which are the perfect locations for flying kites and practising all kinds of watersports...
