Sydney Hobart - Ichi Ban due on water by Tuesday

Following the drama fuelled events in today's Rolex Trophy passage race, CYCA Commodore and owner Matt Allen is breathing a sigh of relief. After sustaining a damaged daggerboard, Ichi Ban went to the super yacht marina in Rozelle to have the damage inspected properly.

'It's a little setback in our Hobart campaign - but it's repairable,' said Allen this afternoon.

'We hope to have the damage repaired over the next two days and have Ichi Ban back in the water on Tuesday.

'Naturally the crew was a little disappointed but they are working with me as well as the team that are fixing the daggerboards and centreboard casing.

'I just hope the weather is on our side to finish the repairs,' concluded Allen.

The final results for today's Rolex Trophy passage race in the IRC division were Peter Harburg's Black Jack first, Andrew Short's ASM Shockwave 5 second and Leslie Green's Ginger third.

These three also took out the top three positions in the PHS Division with only one slight change in the placings - Ginger was second and ASM Shockwave 5 third.
