Sydney Etchells race for Port Jackson Championship and Eaton Cup

In a winner takes all format No drop three race series on Saturday the 27th March the Sydney Etchells fleet is set to race for the Port Jackson Championship and Eaton Cup.

The Sydney Fleet is due to host the Etchells World Championship in 2012 is one of the most active one design fleets in the world.

'We hope to have near 35 boats out this week to sail in this Regatta and anticipate a well fought series to conclude a great season for the fleet'. Commented Fleet Captain Jan Muysken

Current Sydney Pointscore winner Jervis Tilly sailing Bushfire will be a strong contender as will pointscore runner up Peter Gardner/Steve Barlow sailing Humpback.

'We really have 10-15 boats that could snatch the Cup this Saturday and we are really looking forward to some great racing' commented Muysken

The fleet sails the Mini Regatta format on a regular basis and is using these races in prepartion for the upcoming worlds in 2012 which is anticipated to attract close to 100 entries.
