Hanging tough for the RS:X medal race
It's 'hang tough' time for the Hong Kong windsurfers as the Olympic regatta comes to its final stages. There is one more race in the series (tomorrow) before the top ten in the fleet go forward to a Medal Race - double points scoring and no discard allowed.

After nine races Chan Wai Kei is in 9th position on the Women's leaderboard and Chan King Yin is 7th on the Men's. There's been a mixed bag of wind conditions over the last few days, and not always the halfway-to-nothing puffy stuff that was promised for Qingdao. The first race today started in a reported 20 kts of breeze, with the Men's fleet streaking across the start line - and the Ladies following 10 minutes later in a mere 17 knots.
