Racing continued in the 50th 12ft skiff Interdominion, being sailed from Auckland Sailing Club on the inner Waitemata harbour.

Two teams of 12 boats each represent Australia and New Zealand - bot competing for the individual trophy, as well as the Brooke Trophy for best scoring team/country.

Tuesday dawned with a a light breeze continuing through the morning and left everyone pondering about what the wind was going to do. The forecast was promising a nice breeze from the southwest.

Racing started on time at 12 o'clock with the fleet having a split call on big and second rig. First around the top mark was absolute cnc (Russell Davis). in the freshening southerly breeze. The next couple of times around the track saw some unfortunate breakages causing a few retirements and some mines at the bottom mark during the kite drops.

First to finish was Gemmell Sails followed by Nuplex then Davie Norris boat builders.

Today, Wednesday has two races scheduled with a similar forecast which should produce some spectacular racing and some nice sailing conditions.

Heat five brings in the first drop result of the regatta which will tighten things up on the leader board.
