Now I know our focus is on Power boats, but one sailing incident has everybody talking, that of 16-year-old school girl Jessica Watson, determined to circumnavigate the world under sail and unassisted.
As is now well-known, on her way south to Sydney to begin her adventure she collided with a container ship while still in Queensland waters. Sail-World's cruising editor Nancy Knudsen takes an experienced look at Jessica's plans and provides an overview of long-distance sailing pitfalls.
