The Over the Moon Australian Spiral Championships is set to continue today with the third day of racing. Organisers have done well to get six races on the score card in what can be described as typical tricky Lake sailing yesterday.

Heats 4 and 5 were sailed in the Central Basin, with the 6th heat being sailed back in the West Basin of the Lake. All three heats were won by different people, Kieren Searle took out Heat 4; Tim Lowe won Heat 5, and Heat 6 after protest went to Tom Spithill.

Murray Gordon defending champ still leads from local Canberra Yacht Club youth sailor Chris Eddes. Hugh Gallagher, also a local currently leads the junior fleet.

Competitors are now waiting on shore with racing postponed for at least an hour.

A number of protests are continuing this morning after the tight racing yesterday.

One drop is set to come into play after 8 races with a series at 7 races.

Provisional results of the top 5 are as follows:

Place Number Boat Name Name Score
1 883 The Great Muztake Murray Gordon 23
2 867 Rogue Racer Chris Eddes 36
3 825 Rumbos Kieren Searle 50
4 872 Sweetness and Light Jonathon Talbot 53
5 859 No Quarter Matt Craig 60
