Sandringham Yacht Club officials are pleased to invite all lovers of everything boating to the 2009 Club Marine Sail Boat Show, to be held at their brand new multi-million dollar clubhouse on the weekend of 14-15 November.

Apart from the stunning new Club, more exhibitors, a seafood festival, art displays and lots to keep the kids occupied are just some of the things expected to prompt even more people than ever to the annual Show.

A sail-only Show, one of only a handful in the country, and to be held at the Club on the Port Phillip waterfront where all things boating happen, this is expected to be one of the most talked about Boat Shows in years.

The Club Marine Sail Boat Show will feature a new format and is one of the first major events to take place at the new Club, which was officially opened to much fanfare in October.

SYC CEO Richard Hewett commented: "We had over 3,000 people at our official opening, so if that's anything to go by, the Club Marine Boat Show will exceed all expectations."

Set right on the waters-edge of Port Phillip, visitors will be able to step straight aboard yachts displayed on the Club's easy-access floating marina and adults and children can also take advantage of the free "Go Sailing" lessons supervised by professional instructors. Easy to find and without the hassle of having to walk miles, this is a prime opportunity for novices and beginners to "have a go" in a non-threatening atmosphere.

Whether you want to look at buying a yacht, keelboat or dinghy, sail cloth, insurance, winches, rigging, electronics, engines, paint, sailing gear and more, or look for a great boating holiday destination and charter boats, the Club Marine Sail Boat Show has it all.

As Pete Dowdney, the International Sales Manager for Ronstan International Pty Ltd says: "Ronstan is extremely excited to see that the Club Marine Sail Boat Show is returning to its traditional home at the amazing new Sandringham Yacht Club.

"This Show promises to be an awesome event and one that should not be missed by anyone who has even the slightest interest in sailing.

"The public can come and see the very latest in exciting and innovative marine products, speak to knowledgeable and enthusiastic exhibitors, crawl all over a great selection of the latest sail boat releases for 2009 and even go out and get their bums wet if they feel that way inclined!"

A sailor of repute, with a long history in the marine industry, Dowdney says: "I encourage all members of the sailing community to join with us in making the Club Marine Sail Boat Show the most successful event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere."

Patron of the Show, legendary award winning yachtsman and long-time SYC member Lou Abrahams, will also be at the Show.
