Elise Rechichi and Tessa Parkinson have dropped back two places to be fifth after the completion of eight races at the 470 Open European Championship.
The interesting battle is at the top of the Women's fleet. The Japanese pairing of Ali Kamata and Naoko Kamata is now just one point in arrears of the Americans, Amanada Clark and Sarah Mergenthaler. Two second places today boosted their overall score while the US girls could only manage a sixth and an eleventh.
The team from Western Australia, Stacey Omay and Chelsea Hall, currently lie in 16th.
In the Men's fleet,Nathan Wilmot and Malcolm Page had a much better day finishing with a sixth and a seventh, moving them up the leader board into eighth place.
The Argentinean team of Javier Conte and Juan De la Fuente continued to dominate the Men's fleet. However they did sail an ordinary last race today, finishing in 19th spot, which looks likely to be their discard.
They lead their nearest rivals, Gideon Klinger and Udi Gal (Israel) by nine points, with Great Britain's Nic Asher and Elliot Willis now in third.
In the Bronze fleet, Mathieu Higgins and Timothy Lynch lead on count back from Deniz Cinar and Ates Cinar (TUR).
